Chapter Petition
Eta Nu Colony
On March 7th, 2010, 16 men came together and participated in a ritual that would change the dynamics and future of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's campus involvement for years to come. Over the past year, the Eta Nu Colony of Sigma Nu Fraternity has worked vigorously to leave their mark at UL and to rebuild one of the greatest organizations on campus. Whether it be through our campus involvement, community service, or overall reputation on campus, the Eta Nu colony has not gone unnoticed. Our presence is everywhere and our influence on other organizations is evident. Not only have we come on to campus as an influential force in the Greek community; but we have also broken down many traditional barriers and gone to great lengths to change old habits for the better.
Our hard work and continuous level of involvement on campus is visible. Time and time again the colony is rewarded with high remarks from UL students, faculty, and staff. From teachers in the classrooms to compliments from the university's president, the Sigma Nu's at UL are quickly becoming apart of university tradition and setting the bar higher for all on-campus organizations.
It is for these reasons, along with our hard work and dedication over the past year to complete the required chartering criteria, we would present to the High Council of Sigma Nu the Eta Nu Colony's Petition for rechartering to officially become a chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
